Description

Machiko Shimada, after graduating from university, joined a medium-sized trading company dealing mainly in clothing, where she worked for 20 years, becoming the accounting manager and then the managing director. Later, amidst a series of management scandals, she was chosen by the owner of the company to be its president in order to bring a breath of fresh air into the company. Machiko, who had demonstrated such manly prowess during her time as accounting manager that she was nicknamed the "Empress," was still viewed with jealousy and hatred by the company's all-male board of directors. Then, one day, Machiko was suddenly attacked in an insidious coup d'etat.
